Booking Summer Gigs

Summer is in full swing! Last night my wife and I grilled out on our brand new grill. Of course, we live in a small New York apartment, and have to take the grill outside, across the street, and down into a park to be able to use it (legally). This means we have a rather small grill, and as vegetarians, we cook things like tofu and vegetables instead of steak and burgers. Add the fact Jill kept calling the grill “cute” and the only beer we had to drink was lime-flavored Michelob Ultra, and my man-pride took a little beating. But the food was great, we had a good time, and I think I can get used to the rest. I digress.

Summer isn’t summer without live music, and I’m doing my part to make sure music is filling the air. I have a few shows lined up for my trio so far, but I’m continually looking for more. If you are within a couple hours drive from NYC and can help me line up a show for a jazz/funk trio, please let me know by emailing me here.

Also, I will be on the road with Lauren Zettler this summer. July 26 we will be in Chicago, and in St. Louis on August 5. Between those dates we’ll play a show in Indianapolis and have somethings lining up in Ohio, but we’re still booking the tour. If you live in the midwest and have a house concert series or have connections to singer/songwriter venues in your area, please let me know. This is a DIY tour and we’re heading to a lot of great towns where we know very little about the local scene.
