Who is Be Still?
If you’ve stumbled upon the page because you discovered Sounds Like Snow and are curious about the musicians behind Be Still, welcome!
The voice you are hearing is the lovely and talented Lauren Zettler. Lauren is a singer/songwriter in New York City with two EPs to her name: Call Me Out (2008) and On Your Back Porch (2009). She performs about once a month in NYC and occasionally tours with some of the other singer/songwriters in the NYC scene. Along with her own material, she plays keyboards, guitar, and sings back up for other artists. Find out the latest at laurenzettler.com.
The music, production and much of the arrangements and reharmonization you hear are by me. If you’d like to learn more about what I do, just click some of the other links around my website. You can hear almost everything I’ve released by clicking on the album covers to the right.
Lauren and I have been working together since 2008. We recorded On Your Back Porch in my apartment, and while touring to support that release decided to record some Christmas music as a fun little side project. Because the approach was different from what we normally do with her music, we decided to release it under the moniker Be Still. So there you have it. Enjoy the music!
