The other night I was restlessly flipping through TV channels looking for something to tire me out before bed, and I came across a documentary on copyright. Assuming I’d have trouble keeping my eyes open within the first five minutes, I started watching. An hour later, I found myself contemplating everything I’d learned and found it even harder to fall asleep.

It’s been a while since Little Grey Girlfriend played a show, but we’re back! Come check out the band Thursday night at the Delancy (168 Delancy St, NYC). And be sure to check out the latest EP. We’ll be playing this music, some older songs, and a new original!

As promised, here’s another remix kit featuring a track from Tributary. This track is basically a Meters-esque blues, featuring solos on the guitar, Hammond B3, and drums–plenty of licks to choose from!

Last year I started playing with Stellar Ego, a rock band featuring the music of Guy Prandstatter. Last October we started recording an album, which will be released Friday of next week (February 11) at Crash Mansion in NYC.

My mom sews helmet liners for our troops overseas, knits hats for chemo patients, and just about anything else you can put together with a needle and thread. Naturally, when I needed a cover for my guitar amp, I turned to her. Now she can make one for you, too.

Last month I posted the Junior’s Swamp Sauce Remix Kit, allowing people to download isolated tracks from the recording and put together their own remix. I’ve gotten a few back so far, but my good buddy Gary Melvin just sent me a really slick take.

I don’t know about you, but the end of 2010 snuck up on me. The last half of the year was a whirlwind–I released Tributary, picked up a few more sideman gigs, and kept recording and producing music for other artists. I’ve learned a lot and have a clearer vision of my abilities, weaknesses, and artistic direction in general.

Most of my time is spent playing music–rehearsing, recording, performing, practicing, etc. Some of my time is spent online getting the word out about what’s going on with said music, and occasionally I put on my Dickies, saddle up the forklift, and head to the warehouse. Or to put it another way, head to Staples to buy a bunch of padded envelopes and then stand in line at the Brooklyn post office for a couple hours.
